New York Dance: Summer 2009

New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC) invites you to participate in its annual program, New York Dance (NYD), which takes place June 22-29, 2009. NYD is designed for teachers and their serious dance students at the intermediate and advanced levels. It is an intensive week of study that is both educational and exhilarating.

Special 10% discount for all teachers and dancers applying before March 9, 2009. Registration deadline: March 23, 2009 accompanied with a deposit of $959 per person. Balance due: $900 no later than April 27, 2009. Late registration fee: $100. Deposit refunds and handling fee ($100) will not be made after April 28, 2009. *Package does not include airfare or meals.

Studios include:
You and your students will take two classes a day in whatever discipline you wish at the most prestigious studios in New York City. In the evening you will go to performances at New York
City Ballet (NYCB), American Ballet Theatre (ABT), and all five performances of the 10th NYIBC 2009. An adult must accompany dance students under the age of 18. Dancers 18 or older may attend the program without adult accompaniment. New York Dance has broadened my horizons and given me the courage to reach for new goals. NYD 2000 I am 14 years old. I never dreamt that I would be taking class at American Ballet Theatre with the New York ballet stars. NYD 2001 After this experience I lost all fear of taking a hard class or attending an audition. I just can't believe it! NYD 2002 Attending a performance at the Metropolitan Opera House was a dream come true. New York Dance has been the highlight of my dance life. NYD 2003 Everyone will stay at the beautiful Hotel Beacon. You will share one and two bedroom suites that include a lovely kitchenette. The hotel is located just steps from Lincoln Center. To complete this exciting program we have organized receptions for all the participants that will promote the sharing of cultural backgrounds and enrich their lives with lasting friendships. Your students will experience the life of a dancer in New York, the dance capital of the world and every dancer will return to their home with a broader view of dance and humanity.
