Reginald Van Lee, Chairman
Reggie Van Lee is an Executive Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton’s McLean, Virginia, headquarters, where
he leads the firm’s public health and not-for-profit business. He is the co-author of the book, “Megacommunities-
How Leaders of Government, Business and Non-Profits Can Tackle Today’s Global Challenges Together.” He is a
founding member of the Clinton Global Initiative.
Mr. Van Lee’s many recognitions include the 2008 Black Engineer of the Year Award, the Joseph Papp Racial Harmony Award from the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, New York University’s C. Walter Nichols Award for outstanding community service, and the prestigious Spirit of Cabrini Award from the Cabrini Mission Foundation. In addition, Consulting magazine named Mr. Van Lee as one of the top 25 consultants in the world. He has been recognized as one of New York’s Finest Philanthropists and as one of the 2009 Washington Minority Business Leaders by the Washington Business Journal.
Mr. Van Lee serves as Chairman Emeritus of the Evidence Dance Company, Chairman of the Board of the New York International Ballet Competition, and is the Treasurer and a Trustee of the Studio Museum in Harlem. He was appointed by President Obama to the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities and recently joined the MACS AIDS Fund Board.
Mr. Van Lee holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School as well as M.S. and B.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
James A. Goldstein, Treasurer
James A. Goldstein is a lawyer practicing in New York City as counsel to Simon,
Eisenberg & Baum, LLP. Since his graduation from the Law School of the University
of Virginia in 1962, where he was a member of the editorial board of the Law Review,
he has gained wide business experience as counsel to numerous publically traded and
privately held corporations. He is an entrepreneurial investor and is one of the founders
and a managing partner of 548 La Guardia Associates; Happ Realty, LLC; Very Nice
Apartments, LLC; 126 Bay Ave LLC; and G & G 153 Realty, LLC,. He is currently a
member of the board of New York International Ballet Competition, Inc. and has served
as its treasurer since its inception in 1984.
Katelin Teller, Secretary
Katelin is in Head of International Projects at the Royal Opera House in London, home of The
Royal Ballet and The Royal Opera. She is in charge of coordinating international projects and
researching emerging markets there. Katelin previously spent several years in China managing
the British Council’s Arts Programme. She has also worked with the auction house Sotheby’s
and has edited the Oriental Art Magazine. She trained as a film director and actress and has an
MA in Arts Policy and Management.
Susan Jannetta
A graduate of North Carolina School of the Arts and Carnegie-Mellon
University, Susan Jannetta danced professionally in Pittsburgh and New York
City until an injury cut short her dancing career. In 1982, she received an
MBA from Tulane University and started a career in advertising, working on
such accounts as Lever Brothers, Nestle and Cover Girl. She then moved to
Philip Morris and spent 20 years working in several units of the company as
a marketing executive and general manager both in the US and abroad. She
recently retired from her position as a Global Brand Director at Philip Morris
International in Lausanne, Switzerland, and has returned to New York City.
Susan joined the board of NYIBC in January 2006.
Adina Newman
Adina Newman is the Market Intelligence Strategist at Kaye Scholer
LLP, working in their Finance Practice. Prior to joining Kaye
Scholer, she founded her own strategic research and advisory firm,
providing advice to Fortune 100 companies. She also spent a decade as
the Director of Research for Robinson Lerer & Montgomery (now RLM
Finsbury), a strategic communications firm in New York City
specializing in M&A, corporate reorganizations, restructurings and
crisis management. She holds an LL.M. in Taxation from New York
University School of Law, a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center
and a B.A. from Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts.
Ms. Newman is a member of the Board of Directors of Stephen Petronio
Company, a dance organization in New York, and Chair of the Dean’s
Alumni Circle of Eugene Lang College. She is a former ballet dancer
and hopes to increase the involvement of young people in supporting
dance and the arts.
Sheila Peluso
Sheila is a Vice President and Associate General Counsel at Cerberus
Capital Management, L.P., a private investment firm in Manhattan,
since 2005. Prior to joining Cerberus, Sheila spent four years at
Chadbourne & Parke LLP as an Associate in the Corporate and Private
Equity departments. She is a graduate of Binghamton University and of
Cornell Law School.
